The original Northam station was opened in October 1886 and became an important junction, serving lines to Goomalling, Mullewa, Mukinbudin and Wyalkatchem. In 1966 the current station, just a short walk from the main city strip, opened for business. The old station was decommissioned and turned into a museum. To this date, it still houses one of the original trains. Pop in and take a look when you visit historic Northam.
