Heading into the city to celebrate New Year's Eve? Avoid traffic by taking Transperth instead.

Buses and trains will be operating all night to make sure you get to the fireworks on time and home safely, with free travel in place from midnight until 6.00am on 1 January 2026. There will be road closures in place across Perth CBD that may affect your journey.

Heading to the SNACK NYE Festival at Claremont Showground?

Your ticket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours before and after the event, and additional services will run to get you to and from Claremont Showground​​. If asked, simply show your ticket to the driver or inspector. 

Catch a Fremantle or Airport Line train from Perth to Showgrounds Station. Trains will be arriving at the Showgrounds Station from 5.04pm for the event.

Are you heading to the 2026 AusCycling Road National Championships? The five-day event is taking place from Wednesday 7 - Sunday 11 January across Perth HPC, Bold Park, Kings Park, Northbridge and Perth CBD.

Busselton Jetty Swim, Western Australia’s most loved open water swim, returns on 7–8 February 2026.

Best known for its signature 3.6km swim around the iconic Busselton Jetty, the annual event attracts more than 5,000 participants of all ages and abilities to take on a variety of distances in  Geographe Bay.

The weekend also offers plenty of entertainment and family-friendly activities, including the FREE Busselton Jetty Swim Sunset Concert on Saturday evening.
