Clickety Clack your Australind train is coming back!

The first of four new train sets will begin operating on Monday 29 June 2026.
Community celebration
To celebrate the return of the Australind, a community event will be held at the Bunbury Passenger Terminal on Picton Road on Sunday 28 June.
The event will run from 11am until 3pm with a free sausage sizzle and family friendly entertainment including:
- Face painting
- Roving entertainers
- Showbag handouts
- Carnival games
- Small animal farm
- Train tinker station/colouring wall
- Walkthrough the new railcars
Event parking is available on the vacant land adjacent to the Bunbury Passenger Terminal.
Please follow the direction of event staff and signage for parking.

Australind train services are returning with updated operating arrangements. Trains will initially run four days per week, while more railcars are introduced. During this time, train services will be supported by road coaches. This means some journeys will be operated by train and others by coach, depending on the schedule.
The Australind train will depart from Perth City Station, while road coach services will continue to depart from East Perth Terminal.
Stopping locations may vary between services, so please check your booking carefully.
