Pensioner Concessions (DHS)
WA residents in possession of a valid Pensioner Concession card (physical or Digital Wallet) are entitled to a 50% concession on all Transwa services.
Registered WA Pensioner Concession cardholders also receive Free Travel entitlements each calendar year. This can be redeemed for two single journeys or one return journey on Transwa services.
Registered Pensioners with a Free Travel entitlement or concession as well as those with a Pensioner SmartRider can book online, over the phone, at a Transwa Booking Centre or Accredited agent.
To book concession travel online all you need is your Pensioner SmartRider number and your date of birth at the time of booking. Registered Pensioners can book concessional or Free Travel online using their customer reference number (CRN) or DVA file number and date of birth.
Please note multi-leg journeys cannot be booked online with Free Travel entitlements, to make a booking contract Transwa via phone or email, visit a Booking Centre or Accredited agent.
WA Pensioners using blue Free Trip Vouchers can present their vouchers and pension concession card to a Booking Centre or Accredited agent to book.
Concession cards musts be carried and presented on request when booking and when travelling.
Only the primary cardholder as named on the card can use the Pensioner card for concessional travel on Transwa services.
Senior Concessions
Seniors nationally are entitled to a 50% concession on all Transwa services.
Senior SmartRider cards are granted by the Department of Local Government and Communities to Western Australian residents. The SmartRider is issued with or attached to the Seniors card, which shows the cardholders name, card number and State of issue. Senior cardholders from other States are entitled to 50% concession.
