How to book your ticket

Bookings are essential for travel on all our services (except AvonLink services) and can be made up to 90 days in advance.

You can buy tickets online, over the phone or in person at either a Transwa Booking Centre or an accredited ticketing agent. 

 Online

Plan and book your travel online

Our online booking system is fully secure and makes purchasing Transwa tickets easy.

The following conditions apply:

  •  Available to full paying adults (16 years or older) and accompanying children/infants; holders of a Senior, Veteran, Pensioner, Concession or Student SmartRider; holders of a Transwa SmartCommuter Card; registered Pensioner and DVA Gold cardholders
  • All other concession types, passengers wishing to purchase day return fares, those with special travel needs, or children travelling without an adult/guardian are required to book direct with Transwa by telephoning 1300 662 205, visiting a Booking Centre or Accredited agent.
  • Bookings will be accepted up to 2 hours prior to a service’s departure from its origination point, for some services departing after 11am on any day
  • For some services travel departing before 11am, bookings will only be accepted up to 5:00pm the day prior
  • A maximum of 14 passengers are permitted per booking. For bookings of 15 or more passengers please see Group Bookings
  • Children under 5 years of age travel for free if they are nursed and accompanied by a person aged 16 years or older. Each person 16 years or older may only nurse one child under 5 years of age and may accompany a maximum of two children under 5 years, one of which must occupy a seat. Children occupying a seat must pay the concessional fare
  • Bookings cannot be altered or cancelled online. To cancel your booking visit one of Booking Centres or phone our contact centre.
  • In undertaking and accepting bookings and tickets, all persons are subject to the terms and conditions herein after contained in the Public Transport Authority Act 2003, Government Railways Act 1904, By-Laws, Regulation and the Terms and Conditions contained within this website.
